We got lucky with this one. Jonny Burke stopped by our bus at FA and laid down this newly-written track. This officially wraps up our video presentation from Folk Alliance 2009. Thanks to all who were gracious enough to bless us with the gift of song. We appreciate it. Next up...SXSW!
Audrey Auld is back, and this time we got her to sing for you! Audrey and Cole Bruce sing "Clinch Mountain Prayer" on the bus at Folk Alliance 2009, Memphis.
We had a blast getting to camp out on our opulent Celebrity Coach during FA. So much so, that we put together the following documentary (okay, we ain't gonna lie to you...it's a borderline commercial folks) to express our thanks to Blake and the whole staff. If Jessie and Beans continue to do quality hosting jobs like this, they'll land the ShamWow gig in no time...
During our trip to Folk Alliance in Memphis, we ran into a wide range of characters. None were crazier than Steve Poltz. This man claimed (on camera) to have started FA over 20-years ago, and told us he was starting a sponsorship with Wal-Mart next year to place Khakis in the lobby of the hotel. It was an obvious hoax, but nonetheless genius.
Anyway...it was a rainy day in Memphis when Poltz stopped by the Music Fog bus to lay down this great track called "Trash." Basically, it's the "other side of the story" from the guy who got shot in one of Johnny Cash's songs (Folsom Prison Blues). At the end of the song, the rain fell, and it was magic. Check it out...
This one was certainly a treat. Long-time music industry pro Wyatt Easterling stopped by the Music Fog bus at Folk Alliance 2009. He performed the title track to his most recent album, "Where This River Goes." Back-up vocals by Celeste Krenz.
Folk Alliance 2009 was absolutely jam-packed with artist showcases. We were able to catch this one from The Duhks. In this video, they perform the title track from their newly-released album.
